Rides FMX
Action sports legend Travis Pastrana is Nitro’s fearless leader. He began riding a Honda one-speed at age 4, and despite being great at everything he tried, motocross is where he found his calling. He broke out in racing but quickly showed his versatility in freestyle. By 2005, he had accumulated a career total of five X Games gold medals, five golds from the Gravity Games, and additional wins at events including the Dew Tour and Red Bull X-Fighters. In 2006, Pastrana became the first person in the world to land a double backflip on a motorcycle during the Best Trick event at the X Games. In 2017, he won the six-round 2017 American Rally Association Championship and began work on a sequel to Action Figures, his directorial debut.

Ryan Williams, aka R-Willy, is one of the most exciting action sports athletes competing and performing today. A pioneer in scooter, where he’s landed many World First tricks, R-Willy has started to make a serious run at the BMX world, finishing first in the BMX Best Tricks event two years in a row at Nitro World Games. In 2017 he also tasted sweet redemption by winning the NWG Scooter Event, in the process becoming the first athlete to win two events and the first athlete to podium in two disciplines at NWG. Each and every time he drops in, there’s a chance he’ll be landing a trick no one has ever seen before.

Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham is a pioneer of WCMX, aka freestyle wheelchair. A fan and fellow-athlete favorite, Wheelz exploded onto the scene in 2010 after landing the first-ever backflip on a wheelchair, and he hasn’t looked back, breaking records and inspiring millions, all while fearlessly sending it and having the time of his life on mega ramps and in skateparks around the world.

But Dusty Wygle is a rare athlete who is willing to try anything, including the weird stuff, and he’s somehow great at all of it. In the live show he rides all the crazy contraptions — the rocking horse, the boogie board, trikes — as well as pitbikes and mountain bikes. Dusty truly is an action sports renaissance man.

He can ride almost anything like a pro, and he’s world-class at several disciplines, particularly mountain bike, which is what he focuses on most in the Nitro show. He has several World Firsts on MTB, including being one of the first to land a triple backflip on a mountain bike, among several other records. Ethen started racing motorcycles when he was 3 years old and eventually got into BMX racing, but the lure of freestyle won him over in the end. He was the youngest kid in the world to backflip a motorbike at age 14, and he never looked back.

He tends to keep a low profile, but his podium finish at the inaugural Nitro World Games in BMX Best Tricks and his medal in his first-ever X Games are testaments to his skill. His super technical riding that is inspired by FMX — including the World First BMX stripper flip — is something you don't want to miss. That FMX influences his riding is no coincidence. Kurtis started out riding dirtbikes at a very young age and got into racing. His first attempt at a trick on BMX was at a moto race — he attempted a barspin on another kid’s bike. A few weeks later, he picked up his own bike, and a legend was born.

Jarryd McNeil grew up in Kerang, Australia, and began riding dirtbikes at 2 and a half years old. About six years later, Jarryd began his career as a motocross racer, where he went on to win multiple state and national championships before turning pro. At 18, his interest shifted to freestyle, and he began investing the majority of his time in FMX. In 2010, he received an invite to the X Games and decided to make the move to the United States. Since then, he has collected nine X Games medals, qualified for three AMA Outdoor Nationals, taken 1st at the Monster Energy Cup Biggest Whip competition twice, and taken 1st at the Monster Energy Cup Quarter Pipe Big Air Competition. Aside from competing against the world's best FMX athletes, Jarryd enjoys touring the world and wowing crowds with his extended Nitro Circus family.

When you add it all up, it might be impossible to figure out who likes Brandon more: Nitro audiences or Nitro athletes.
